Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

SEO that brings enquiries, not just rankings

We help UK businesses get found on Google and Bing for the searches that turn into enquiries. That means technical foundations that work, pages that answer what buyers actually ask, and reporting tied to leads, not vanity metrics.

In short

SEO (search engine optimisation) is the work of making your website the best answer to the searches your customers make, so search engines show it near the top. For a small UK business it usually means three things: fixing technical problems that stop pages being indexed, publishing pages that answer specific buyer questions, and earning mentions from trusted sites. Most businesses see meaningful movement in three to six months; competitive markets take longer.

Most small-business websites we audit share the same problems. Key pages are missing or merged into one long page. Titles don't match how people search. Google has indexed the wrong URLs. And there's no tracking, so nobody can say whether SEO is working.

We fix the foundations first, then build pages for the searches with real commercial intent: "emergency dentist Bolton", "no win no fee employment solicitor", "buy refurbished office chairs". Every month you get a plain-English report covering enquiries, rankings that matter, and what we're doing next.

What's included

What you get

Technical SEO audit & fixes

Indexing, crawl errors, site speed (Core Web Vitals), redirects, canonical tags, structured data and mobile usability, fixed by us rather than handed to you as a PDF.

Keyword & intent research

We map the searches that lead to enquiries, not just traffic, and match each one to a single page so your pages don't compete with each other.

Content that answers buyers

Service, location and FAQ pages written to answer real questions clearly, in a way Google, Bing and AI assistants can quote.

Local SEO

Google Business Profile optimisation, consistent business listings, review generation and location pages for multi-site businesses.

Authority building

Earned mentions from relevant UK directories, industry bodies, suppliers and local press. No link farms, no paid link schemes.

Tracking & reporting

GA4 and Search Console set up correctly, form and call tracking, and a monthly report showing enquiries by source.

How it works

The process

Audit (week 1–2)

Full technical crawl, Search Console and analytics review, competitor gap analysis. You get the findings ranked by impact.

Fix the foundations (month 1)

We implement the technical fixes and tracking. Nothing else works properly until this is done.

Build the pages that win (months 1–3)

New and rewritten service and location pages aimed at high-intent searches, plus FAQ content.

Grow authority (ongoing)

Listings, reviews, partnerships and digital PR to build trust signals over time.

Report and refine (monthly)

Leads, rankings and next actions in plain English. If something isn't working, we say so.

FAQ

SEO: common questions

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes can show results within weeks. New pages usually take three to six months to rank well, and longer in competitive markets like London legal services. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is either guessing or using tactics that can get you penalised.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No. Google controls rankings, and no honest agency can guarantee them. We commit to the work, to transparent reporting, and to telling you early if a target isn't realistic for your budget.

What's the difference between SEO and AI search optimisation?

They overlap heavily. SEO earns rankings in Google and Bing; AI search optimisation makes sure assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews can find, trust and cite your business. Most of the groundwork is the same. See our AI search optimisation service for the extra steps.

Do I need to sign a long contract?

No. We work on rolling monthly agreements after an initial three-month setup period, because SEO needs that long to show direction. You can stop with 30 days' notice.

Will you write the content or do we?

We write it, with your input on facts, prices and case details. Regulated businesses (dental, legal) get compliance-aware copy and sign-off before anything goes live.
